Happiness Quiz
Get On The Road To Happiness

Article

Ready to take the happiness quiz? It may seem a silly idea to test yourself over how happy you are. After all, you're either happy or you're not happy, right?

Well, that's not so clear. People often settle for a great deal less in life than they ought to and they often perceive themselves to be satisfied when they have actually dropped the ball.

Dr. Orison Swett Marden introduced this interesting idea in the early 1900's in his many self-help books.

Dr. Marden taught that people, as a whole, consistently failed to live up their potential.

They chose the job that paid the bills instead of chasing after their real dreams. They spent their money today instead of saving it up for a real future.

Is this you? If so, then perhaps you're not as happy as you could be.

Let's find out with this short, yet insightful, happiness quiz.

  1. Think back carefully. How far is your real life from your dream life? Have you ever genuinely considered pursuing the latter?
  2. Do you enjoy your job?
  3. How frequently do you suffer from bouts of stress or depression?
  4. How is your physical health?
  5. Do you have the number of friends you'd ideally like to have? What is the quality of those relationships?
  6. Are you afraid to take risks in life or do you take them freely?
  7. Are you 100% sure that you are living up to your potential in life?
  8. Do you feel joyful and full of energy?

If you had trouble answering any of these questions, then you may very well have areas of your life that you can improve on. Not to worry, identifying these areas is part of taking the happiness quiz!

What brings happiness is often different for every individual.

This is what Dr. Marden pointed out in his book “Making Yourself” – in which he encouraged readers to use their spare time to help achieve their own unique goals.

However, it probably isn't a stretch to say that most Americans might struggle through some questions on the happiness quiz. So you are not alone. But what do you do next?

Well, you can download five of Dr. Marden's classic books online with the Leadership Series For Successful Living.

Marden’s powerful words of inspiration may give you just the energy you need to turn your life around.

If you are not living every moment to the fullest, then you are not living your life to the fullest and you are missing out on the happiness you deserve to have.

Don't get depressed about where you are today. Instead, become determined to do things differently from now on. Think about your job differently. Think about your goals and dreams differently. Think about your life differently.

Now, get to work on building the life of your dreams!
