Main Causes Of Stress
Me, Myself and I

Article

What are the main causes of stress in your life? So many of us suffer from stress related issues from day to day, yet do we really know why?

A person with the same job, same number of kids, and same physical health might experience must less stress in their life than you do. So certainly stress isn't merely a result of events in our lives – but in fact, it stems from how one responds to those events!

Leadership Quote

"It's the most unhappy people who most fear change."

- Mignon McLaughlin

If we wish to cure our stress, we must understand the root cause.

How many hours a week do you work? How do you feel about your personal relationships? What things cause you to constantly worry? Are your worries and fears irrational?

YES! Your fears and worries are irrational, because being fearful and worried does nothing positive to address any issue successfully.

You must get past the destructive emotions of fear and worry, and move on to the point of taking ownership of your issues and taking direct action to confront them.

Often the main causes of stress seem strange to us. Once we determine our stress is a direct result of our own fears and worries, feelings that we have blown up out of proportion in our minds, we can better understand the problem lies within us more than outside of us.

We think so much about the possible snags we could run into in the future, that we become fearful of what “might” happen, and we become paralyzed in the present.

This is a tragedy, according to the late self-help author of the 20th century, Dr. Orison Swett Marden. Dr. Marden lamented in his classic book “The Joys of Living” that so many people are caught up in what they think their future will be like – bright or dark – that they completely neglect the here and now.

When we determine the main causes of stress in our lives, it's suddenly easy for us to remedy the problem.

We can begin looking at the present as an opportunity to take advantage of our resources and inner reserves and we can solve the problems we have today, instead of letting them bleed into tomorrow.

If you suffer from stress and depression and you're looking for a little inspiration to help you transform your unhappy, stationary life into a happy life that constantly moves forward, then look no further than the Leadership Series For Successful Living.
