My name is Richard Gorham and I am the creator of LeadershipAudio.com. I appreciate the opportunity to share a little bit more about myself.

I reside in the beautiful city of Portland, Oregon. I’m very happily married, and the father of three extraordinary little girls

The vision for this website began back in 2004 as we were working feverishly on one of our other leadership-related websites. As a devoted fan of Dr. Orison Swett Mardens’ work, I knew that I would need to eventually take some time to share his amazing insights with a whole new generation of aspiring leaders.

Little did I know at the time this would mean hundreds of painstaking hours to create an entirely fresh and updated series of motivational audiobooks that presents the “best of the best” of Dr. Marden’s teachings.

For many years now I’ve spent a great deal of my time working to share, free of charge, the many benefits of high quality leadership tools and resources; powerful tools that have helped me in so many ways to more effectively deal with life’s many challenges.

It’s important to me that these same tools and resources be made available to anyone who seeks to better him or herself, no matter what their income level or location.

From a young age I enjoyed reading stories about successful people; tales of the poor boy or girl who pressed on despite terrible circumstances to achieve success and fulfillment in their lives.

Some of the most powerful stories I’ve heard come directly from the works of Dr. Orison Swett Marden. So it just seemed natural to create a new series of motivational audiobooks, as a tribute to Dr. Marden - and to honor his inspiring legacy.

I believe that everyone has the ability to improve his or her position in life. Whether you do, or whether you don’t – the decision is yours - and yours alone.

A Leadership Series for Successful Living consists of a set of motivational audiobooks that was created to show you the path toward becoming your highest and best self.

I have also authored 10 Quick Steps To Leadership Development and I am a co-author of 101 Great Ways To Improve Your Life, which was released in May, 2006.

The purpose of LeadershipAudio.com is to become a place where like-minded Marden fans, new and old, can learn – grow – and hopefully decide to begin their own leadership journey.

Throughout the years I have purchased a wide variety of self-help tools. These resources are offered by many of today’s most popular self-improvement experts such as: Zig Ziglar, Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Jack Canfield, Bob Proctor and Dennis Waitley - just to name a few. One day when I was listening to some motivational audiobooks, I came across a book about Goal Setting by Brian Tracy. Tracy is the one who first introduced me to Orison Swett Marden.

Upon reading Marden’s masterpiece, Pushing To The Front, I became an instant fan. The more I read about this amazing man, his life, career and achievements – the more I felt a genuine connection to his messages of joy, optimism and dogged persistence.

Considering the fact that Marden’s height of popularity took place well over 100 years ago, it’s uncanny how timeless his words of wisdom have proven to be.

It’s clear to me that if only more people were introduced to Marden’s teachings, they could benefit greatly from his key insights and life lessons.

This website is about more than simply offering motivational audiobooks, tools and resources.

A large part of what motivates me to share these insights with others, is the fact that I can leverage my passion for leadership in a way that also afford me a means of enhancing the financial condition of my household.

It’s important to my wife and I that our three daughters grow up to become confidant, determined and self-reliant young women.

We are determined to fully equip our girls with the self-confidence that no matter what happens in their lives – good or bad, they possess the tools and resources necessary to effectively handle any obstacles that might come their way.

I believe strongly that the wisdom presented in A Leadership Series for Successful Living, complete with motivational audiobooks, ebooks and companion workbooks, provide a powerful tool for all parents.

Dr. Marden’s emphasis on self-reliance certainly supports our message to our children that “you truly can do anything you set your mind to.”

In addition to acquiring a greater sense of self-fulfillment from serving others, I’m proud of what this website offers to regular people who are interested in bettering their current condition.

I’m truly grateful for the personal and professional development I’ve experienced since first beginning this unique online business.

In response to these inquiries, I’ll take just a brief moment here to answer a couple key questions.

Readers ask which web designer I use, what tools I leverage and which resources I draw from to create my websites. They see how highly the websites rank and they want to experience similar results. They assume I must have a team of experts behind me in order to achieve my results.

The fact is that LeadershipAudio.com is a “one-man” online business. I run the entire business out of my home-based office, in my spare hours.

I utilize a wonderful web-hosting system called Site Build-It or “SBI”. SBI is an all-in-one tool that first taught me how to create the website. (This is an important point, because I didn’t know anything about how to create a profitable website before being introduced to SBI.)
