Natural Cures For Depression Anxiety
and Stress Related Issues

Article

There are many natural cures for depression anxiety and stress. Why is it then that more people every day turn to medicine to solve their emotional problems?

Often we see the television commercials that constantly advertise the latest anti-depression pill to hit the market. The promise of instant relief is extemely appealing to those in need.

However, if you want a meaningful, long-term solution – you're encouraged to consider a combination of traditional medicine with natural remedies.

It’s so important to understand that the vast majority of stress related illness begins with a person’s negative self talk.

That little voice in one’s mind who is constantly telling him or her that he or she isn’t good enough; that they don’t measure up to expectations; that they are destined to fail in anything that they attempt.

It's not surprising that natural cures exist, when you learn about the natural causes of depression and anxiety. When we don't take care of our bodies, our minds tend to deteriorate. Similarly, if we don't take care of our minds, our bodies deteriorate. It's a powerful concept really.

People are always quick to compartmentalize their lives: they eat apples because they hungry, not because they want to nourish their bodies so that they can be more prepared for life's everyday obstacles. But everything is linked.

So what are these natural cures for depression anxiety and stress?

Eating right, sleeping right, exercising, taking vitamins, volunteering in the community, regularly engaging in fun hobbies, socializing with peers, talking to a therapist, and a slew of other practices are all natural cures for depression anxiety and stress.

But there is one solution above all that will work for just about everybody.

This idea was “discovered” by the late Dr. Orison Swett Marden. Dr. Marden communicated a brand-new message of hope to 20th century America.

Dr. Marden, who literally rose from rags to riches – as he grew up a poor orphan and achieved success in both the academic and business world – was inspired by the works of writers like Samuel Smiles and thus, he imported the New Thought movement to the United States.

What he believed was that one's thought process was the root cause of every failure or success a person had. In other words, we are what we think. In his own words, “thoughts, become things”.

In Dr. Marden's classic book “Why Grow Old?” this message is eloquently stated, as Dr. Marden expresses how physical signs of aging can happen prematurely if we only expect them too! Similarly, if we insist on living a youthful existence, we will age more gracefully.

So of all the natural cures for depression anxiety and stress out there, the best one is to monitor and manage our own thought patterns.

Recognizing how we respond to outside events is critical in determining the quality our own life experience.

Your thoughts can free you from anything! If you want to discover more of Dr. Marden's message, you can listen to five of his most motivational books online with the Leadership Series For Successful Living.
