Personal Growth and Development Systems
Tools You Should Use

Article

Are there personal growth and development systems workshops and seminars going on in your area? Have you wondered what they are all about? It’s time you discovered the power of self-improvement!

Sometimes we get to a point in our lives where we just feel trampled upon. We somehow lose the optimism we once had when we were young, and swore we'd never lose, and we don't see any sense in creating goals and hoping for a great future anymore.

While this is a sad state to be sure, it is not an irreversible one.

Once you are aware of the state you’ve fallen into, it simply gives you the chance to embrace a whole new perspective on the world and your potential place in it – and become reinvigorated and start living again as a result.

There are several workshops out there that sport the title of “personal growth and development systems.” And it's an apt title; it's an area we should all explore thoroughly.

A therapy session or two, a diet of anti-depression pills, or even regularly reading self-help books and daily affirmations may do very little to help us improve our attitude about life. That's because they are often quick fixes, band-aids, and not real long-term solutions.

When we say personal growth and development systems, we mean true progress that takes time and effort and dedication to foster.

Now, that doesn't mean therapists and self-help authors and even medicine can't come in handy.

In fact, if you are to turn to literature, it's recommendable you read the equally brilliant and inspiring works of Dr. Orison Swett Marden. Dr. Marden helped define what success was and who it belonged to in 20th century America.

For generations, up until his 30-year literary career, most people were under the assumption that they were either born with or without success.

But they were soon part of a new success movement – founded by Dr. Marden – that taught them that no matter how ordinary their abilities and how empty their pocketbooks, they too could achieve greatness.

Dr. Marden's book “Do It To A Finish” is an especially triumphant lesson on how full commitment, hard work and persistency (as opposed to natural ability), toward each and every endeavor is necessary to develop character and find true happiness in life.

If you want to discover more about effective personal growth and development systems, there are several tools and resources you will soon learn about. As well, if you want to listen to other books by Dr. Marden, you can!

Even though this incredible thinker and writer is no longer alive today, you can download his most important teachings online with the Leadership Series For Successful Living
