Personal Stress Test
Take Time Out To Evaluate Life

Article

Interesting in taking a personal stress test? If you feel like you can't handle your life, then a stress test is long overdue.

Chances are that you are not unlike many other Americans. So don't worry – your problem isn't strange or impossible to overcome.

The fact is that people in the United States work hard, and for many hours, and despite the final paycheck, sometimes it just doesn't seem worth it in the end.

After all the sweat and tears you put into your work – is paying the bills all you have to show for it?

If you need to find out how much of a role stress is playing in your life, then take the following short personal stress test. If you answer “yes” to two ore more of the questions listed below, it may be time to reevaluate your priorities in life.

Here is a personal stress test that will get you started in reevaluating your quality of life.

  1. Do you feel that at the end of the day you have been working constantly and yet have not accomplished what you wanted to accomplish?
  2. Are you constantly worried about pressing deadlines and upcoming projects, instead of focused on and enjoying the here and now?
  3. Do you have moments where your heart races and your palms sweat? (This might resemble a panic attack.)
  4. Do you have aches and pains – especially tension headaches?
  5. Do you get sick frequently, more than you're used to?
  6. Do you find that you emotionally overreact to different situations, with anger or sadness, etc?

These are just some basic questions of a typical personal stress test to get you thinking about your life.

How in control of your life do you feel you are? Just because you're paying the bills and appear to have your head on your shoulders, if your mind is worn down and your spirit crushed, then stress has become a major enemy to your happiness!

It's time to say goodbye to it. So seriously consider your answers to these questions and take actions to respond.

So how can you respond? There is one resource that we highly recommend: Dr. Orison Swett Marden, the famous self-help author from the early 1900's. His books, like “The Victorious Attitude,” will teach you how to approach life with a calm confidence that will help you alleviate the stress in your life and in the process, find all the success you had been previously looking for.

You can listen to five of Dr. Marden's classic titles online with the Leadership Series For Successful Living.
