The reason so many people don't recognize stress issues more quickly is because they often don't realize that their illness is only a symptom, not the actual problem at hand. As a result, their illness gets worse, because the root of the illness is not directly addressed. Today we live in a fast paced, competitive world, with tools that instantly flood us with all sorts of information, with only the push of a button. It’s no wonder so many people become overwhelmed. We need to become more aware of issues on physical illness related to stress. Anxiety and depression can be really rough on your immune system, making it difficult for your body to fight off infections. There aren't simply emotional effects; there almost always will be physical effects to stress over time. So if you feel constantly under the weather, don't just take medication.
