Physical Symptoms Of Severe Stress
Take Your Life Back

Article

Physical symptoms of severe stress are not always easily recognized by the sufferer, or even those around him. If they did, they may not feel so inclined to accept stress as an inevitable part of their life.

For many, the pressure of a deadline is what drives them to get anything done during the day.

Many people who become overwhelmed by stress fit into a category we describe as “pleasers”.

They want so much to please everyone around them that they disregard their own needs. Over time this causes major problems both emotionally and physically.

But what if something more than that motivated us?

First off, let's talk about the physical symptoms of severe stress. Are they serious – life-threatening? What can you do about them?

The physical symptoms of severe stress include:

  • Increased heart rate
  • Sweating
  • Tension headaches
  • Stomach aches
  • Frequent illnesses
  • Ulcers
  • Heart attack and other cardiovascular problems
  • Back ache

The above list is only some of the physical symptoms of severe stress. Some effects of stress are short-term, others are long-term. Some are minor, others are major.

The longer period of time you accept stress as part of your life, the more at risk you're putting your health. If you value not only your emotional wellbeing, but your physical health as well, then learn how to say goodbye to stress in your life!

Stress indeed wreaks havoc over every aspect of your life. When your mind is consumed with worry and concern over the little details to the big issues in your life, your body suffers. And so does your spirit; and thus, your potential in life.

While you may feel stress encourages you to get more work done, if not managed properly, it actually inhibits your real ambitions.

Each day you should not be counting down the hours at work.

Instead, you should be enjoying every moment and looking at your job as a chance to build your character and to practice doing what you love.

Rest assured if you don’t think this can happen for you, it can.

Dr. Orison Swett Marden was one of the first people to realize this. The self-help author of the 19th and 20th centuries had a unique audience: Americans who were suddenly able to choose their career path and exercise individual freedom.

Dr. Marden, specifically in his book “Success Nuggets,” taught that a work environment should not be a prison, but an exciting and even enchanting place! So if you're ruled by stress while you're on the job, then maybe you're not doing the job you're supposed to be doing.

Almost all of Dr. Marden’s uplifting life lessons are compiled in the Leadership Series For Successful Living.

With this leadership audio series, you will learn timeless lessons that you can utilize to better address the physical symptoms of severe stress that you are dealing with.
