Sometimes we all just need a little self esteem help. Perhaps you’ve experienced getting let go from a job you thought we were good at it. Maybe your child is behaving poorly and you are feeling like a failed parent. It doesn't really matter what the case is, sometimes our self esteem suffers and often we don't even understand the real reason. Even the most outwardly successful people can experience bouts of low confidence. The good news is that when these low points occur – there are solutions that can help. Managing self esteem is a little bit science and a little bit of art, just like painting or playing the piano. Some people have an innate ability to think positively about who they are as people and their place in the world, while others need to work at being positive. Still, for even people who tend to be more optimistic, maintaining a healthy self esteem requires practice and effort. So here is some self esteem help for you to consider when times appear a little darker than usual. You are not alone! Many people will reveal a slew of insecurities and worries and fears about the future if genuinely asked about them – others simply hide their low self esteem better than others. The key to getting self esteem help is not to seek out compliments from others, rather it is to give more to others and expect nothing in return. Don’t worry, when you give, others naturally want to give back. Allow yourself to be surprised by these natural rewards, take them in and know that your good deeds are truly appreciated and that you are well thought of by others. Remember also that it really doesn't matter what people tell you or don't tell you. If you don't firmly believe in your own ability and potential, then that is probably the root cause of the problem. Self esteem help comes in many forms. The most noticeable are the many self help books you run into at the bookstore – there typically is a whole aisle devoted to self help, some of it is excellent, while others are not worth the paper its written on. But if you're looking for the best of the best, an original thinker of self-help, then it's best you read the works of the first self-help author who ever existed in America: Dr. Orison Swett Marden. Dr. Marden invented the success movement in America and if you're in the market for self esteem help, you should really look no further than him. In his inspirational books, like “Pushing To The Front” and “Loves Way,” Dr. Marden encourages readers to develop positive thinking habits and a happy outlook on life. So long as a person can rid negativity from their life, they will see very little of it in their endeavors. Think failure away! Dr. Marden believed this was possible as long as one approached life with the utmost confidence in themselves. In his books he shows his reader the way. If you'd like to get more of Dr. Marden's advice, you can listen to some of his greatest books online with the Leadership Series For Successful Living!
