Take The Stress Quiz

Article

So what's the point of a stress quiz really? You're either stressed or you're not stressed, right?

Well, not entirely. Everybody needs a healthy dose of stress in their lives to motivate them to complete daily tasks. But chances are if you're reading this article, you're overburdened with too much stress.

So how big is your problem? Here is a short stress quiz to help you figure out if you're in control of your stress and anxiety, or if it’s in control of you.

Answer the following questions of the stress quiz and with every “yes,” you need to rethink choices you've made in your lifestyle. If you can answer “no” to each of the following questions, you're on your way to a stress-free life – so have fun and good luck, but be honest!

  1. Do you feel constantly fatigued – mentally and/or physically?
  2. Do you find that activities and hobbies you used to enjoy are no longer appealing?
  3. Do you get sick or feel aches and pains (like headaches and stomach aches) more often than usual?
  4. Have you gained or lost a lot of weight, for no reason you can really decipher?
  5. Are you easily angered or frustrated?
  6. Do you dread tomorrow, instead of looking forward to it, and you don’t even know why?
  7. Are you constantly worried about your job or your relationships, even when you're supposed to be relaxing or having fun?
  8. Do you feel like no matter how much work you do, you can never seem to get anything done?
  9. Do you feel hopeless about your future?
  10. Do you feel more emotional than usual – for instance, do you have frequent crying fits that don't seem to make sense?

Okay, good job! Now, if you answered “yes” to any number of these questions – don't panic. They are normal consequences of stress and other problems.

However, the more questions you answered “yes” to, the bigger problem of stress you have and the more important it is for you to tackle it head-on. This is because stress, anxiety, and depression all have not just emotional, but also physical side effects - and some can even be life threatening.

If you need outside help, above and beyond a simple stress quiz, please consult a physician if you feel it is warranted. Another positive action to take is to listen to the Leadership Series For Successful Living. This audio series is here to lend a helping hand.

The series features the most important works of Dr. Orison Swett Marden, the founder of the 19th century American success movement, in a convenient, risk free, easy to download audio format.

Dr. Marden may be just what the doctor ordered – the childhood struggles he overcame are utterly inspiring and his words of wisdom are just as important today as they were in the 1800's.

His book “The Hour of Opportunity,” which you can listen to in its entirety as part of this series, taught that every moment is significant and if we don't take control over our lives today, we are wasting precious time.

Stress is an enemy to your hopes and ambitions in life because it prevents us from living life to the fullest.

So, if this stress quiz stressed you out – it might be time to give Dr. Marden a listen.
