Stress Related Symptoms
Awareness Is Key!

Article

Most people don't recognize stress related symptoms until they get out of hand. Some people don't understand that stress causes more than just simple emotional problems. But that's hardly the case.

In fact, stress leads to all kinds of physical ailments – some even life threatening.

Often, we don't determine the root cause of these problems is directly related to common, everyday stress.

So it's important to know what you're dealing with in order to ensure your emotional and physical wellbeing.

Here are some short-term, mild effects of stress:

  • Restless sleep
  • Increased or decreased appetite
  • Tension headache
  • Lower back ache
  • Stomach ache

However, while these stress related symptoms should be taken seriously, there are other, more threatening effects you must know about too:

  • Increased heart rate causing cardiovascular problems like stroke and heart attack
  • Frequent bouts of flu-like illnesses (due to stress wearing down on the immune system)
  • Severe weight gain or loss
  • Dramatic mood swings: overreacting to situations, becoming easily upset
  • Feeling as though you're constantly working and never getting anything accomplished

The above stress related symptoms are more long-term and severe, and should be avoided at all costs.

Fortunately, if you're reading this article, then you're on the right course. You can stop stress dead in its tracks, as long as you can recognize the cause of it.

Maybe you need to cut back on the hours you put in at the office or you need to go to couple's counseling with your husband or wife. Or perhaps you can take simpler steps, like incorporating a daily mediation and/or exercise routine into your schedule; taking up a new hobby or a vacation.

There are both minor and major lifestyle changes you can make to reduce stress levels in your life.

Take a deep breath and learn to relax – it's better to miss that deadline than to lead a miserable life of stress, anxiety, or even depression.

Another suggestion is to invest in the Leadership Series For Successful Living, which offers some of the late Dr. Orison Swett Marden's books in an audio format online.

Dr. Marden wrote such classics as “Do It To a Finish” (which makes the important point that character development is directly linked to hard work) and was the leader of the New Thought movement in America.

His advice for how to take control of your life and rid it of obstacles like stress, anxiety, and depression may be just what you need to get back into the game of life.

So, if you're ready to say goodbye to those stress related symptoms and hello to a new, healthy life, then give this outstanding leadership audio series a try today.
