The Stress Survey

Article

Taking a stress survey can help you know if you're experiencing life with a normal, healthy level of stress or if you're struggling with a moderate to high level?

If you promptly respond to your findings,
you can help to change your life for the better.

Leadership Quote

"We must not allow other people's limited perceptions to define us."

- Virginia Satir

Chances are, if you live in the United States and if you're reading this article, you are enduring too much stress. But there's only one sure way to find out.

Maybe your job, your significant other, your parents, your children, or any other number of things have caused you to worry excessively.

Whatever the case, stress is a real and constant threat to your emotional and physical wellbeing and it must be recognized as soon as it reveals its ugly head.

Here's a quick and easy stress survey to help you discover how big a problem you might have.

Answer the following list of questions with a number: 0 being a strong “no” and 5 being a strong “yes.” At the end of the stress survey, calculate the overall number – this will tell you your stress score:

  1. Do you feel fatigued more than normal?
  2. Does it seem like it takes a lot of effort to accomplish the simplest tasks?
  3. Do you feel pessimistic or indifferent about your future?
  4. Do you sometimes feel sad for no observable reason?
  5. Do you lose items and forget details – like appointments – frequently?
  6. Do you get angry easily?
  7. Do you find yourself feeling less social than usual?
  8. Do you feel aches and pains and/or get sick more often than usual?
  9. Do you feel like happiness is just out of reach?
  10. Do you feel uninterested in sex?

If your score is 30 or above, then you have serious cause for concern. But even if your stress survey score doesn't seem accurate, simply asking these questions and thoroughly seeking the answers to them can enlighten you quite a bit about the level of anxiety in your life.

Keep in mind, it’s not the actual score of this stress survey that is so important, it’s the fact that you are asking quality questions and beginning to think about possible solutions for self improvement.

Never lose sight of this key point.

The Leadership Series For Successful Living is committed to helping you take charge of your life and eliminate stress from it so that you can achieve success and happiness and be proactive and ultimately productive on a day-to-day basis.

When you are stressed out, you limit yourself and can only adopt a negative, hindering attitude toward life. Never allow yourself to live this way!

Dr. Orison Swett Marden, the founder of the American success movement in the 1800's, wrote a series of books on self-help – the first of the now highly popular genre – and you can hear what he had to say about living a purposeful, rather than an unhappy and stressful, life in this powerful audio program.

The program is offered risk free and you can be listening and/or reading the material in a matter of minutes with the easy download option. How simple is that?
