One of the famous self-help author's best traits was his ability to reexamine overlooked and forgotten life lessons; universal lessons such as the benefits of using good manners, promptness and orderliness.

Marden reminded people of why these well developed habits are significant and invaluable to a person's success as an individual or an organization.

Dr. Marden is definitely a good person to study and learn from when determining what steps to take toward university leadership development.

University leadership development is essentially the process of teaching those who have yet to find any real power or pursue their real ambitions. Higher education provides an opportunity for young people to socialize with and experience various cultures and traditions.

This is important so that when they finally graduate from college, they are ready to be productive and influential in society, having already gained some highly valuable life experience.

Dr. Marden would be a strong advocate of university leadership development. Not only did he highly value education, but he saw in everybody the potential for tremendous success.
